Record keeping is very important for a teacher. I have systems to keep track of students progress in all subjects. One of my most important artifacts of record keeping is my cafe binder. I use it to keep track of student Daily 5 choices each day, individual reading and writing conferences, and strategy group progress. I have forms for each type of record keeping. For my strategy group and status of the class record keeping, I used the typical Cafe forms. For my reading conferences, I created my own individual conferencing form.
