In domain one, I showed an example of rubrics that I created to assess student progress towards the components of our curriculum.  Since our units often included broad ranging components from writing, language, reading, and speaking and listening skills, I quickly realized that traditional assessments would not be effective.  Instead, I started an online portfolio for units utilizing Seesaw. The students would be given the components required for each outcome and we would discuss what would show each level of mastery of the component, tweaking the wording of the component when students had suggestions.  They would then post the evidence that they had mastered the component into Seesaw with an explanation of where they thought they fell on the rubric and how this evidence supported it. I would then respond by either agreeing or telling them where I saw things differently. They could then go back and try to achieve deeper mastery of the component to move up on the rubric. That rubric can be seen here.
