Introductory Activities
At the start of each school year, I want to learn about my students, so I have several activities that allow the students to introduce themselves as individuals and as learners. I also send forms home for their parents to share important information with me as well. This is an example of one activity.
Personal Narrative Rubric
This is an example of a rubric I have used to grade student writing. Before beginning a writing project, we go over the rubric and discuss it, with students suggesting any changes that they think should be made. They can then use the rubric to revise.
