I was also very involved with validating the ELA curriculum. There was no fourth grade representative on the committee, so there was a lot of work to be done on the fourth grade curriculum. Although not officially on the curriculum committee, I took careful note on the validation forms for how units could be improved and reshaped the curriculum into effective fourth grade units.
